Where are you energized?

On most days, what energizes you at work? Is it dreaming big, moving an idea from concept to opportunity, making that idea happen, or taking something proven to the next level?
Understanding where you function with joy, excitement, and commitment not only helps you to understand the roles and environments you are better suited for, but it can also bring clarity on how to design and develop a team for meaningful impact.
Perhaps you have always been that process improvement go to person but are feeling pressure to move elsewhere along the spectrum in order to advance.
Or you are desperate to leave your current job. You take an opportunity without enough consideration on if your expertise - and something you genuinely enjoy doing day to day- in feasibility and frameworking is part of this new role. Discontentment will enter soon enough.
But energy can shift over time.
Energy mismatch can be insidious without periodic reflection throughout your career. For some, what made work interesting in your 20s and 30s may look very different than what you want for yourself in your 40s and 50s.
